Like anything that has to do with our taste buds we take the flavor of our coffee seriously. Coffee roasting itself dates back to the 13th century. By the 1600's coffee roasting evolved to the art form we have today. Our coffee roaster is a gas fired, turkish crafted Has Garrati. This drum roaster cooks the green bean in a rotating cast iron drum heated by gas until the desired profile is reached.
Each of our green coffee beans are roasted to there perfect color and then often blended to achieve what we and our customers consider to be a dang fine cup of coffee. From single origins to our custom blends each cup is as if your tasting the best cup of coffee for the first time with every sip.
For us coffee roasting is like any other art form. You take raw materials and create pleasing experiences for your patrons. And like spices, all coffee beans have a unigue flavor profile. For example, green beans from Ethiopia tend to be more floral and fruity, similar to a coastal Californian cabernet. While perhaps green beans from the indonesian Island of Sumatra will be more earthy, lightly acidic, with a full bodied finish.
