Yaks volunteers traveled 8 months up and down the west coast tasting different roasters. They received samples from roaster across the country. They discovered there were lots of good beans out their but only wanted to offer one. Their choice Equator.

The most unique thing about this roaster is their persoanl relationships with the bean growers. Master roaster, Brooke McDonnell spends much of her time annually visiting the growers and making sure her beans arne't just grade "A" but that fair trade practices are honored when ever possible and environmentally sound technigues are employed by the growers.
